Under the supervision of the Director of Employee Health & Wellness, the Employee Health Coordinator is responsible for delivery of patient care in the Employee Health Department utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, and any standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations. The Coordinator is responsible for meeting the established standards of their profession as well as those established by the Employee Health Department. The Coordinator provides nursing care, health education and guidance for the hospital’s Employees/Volunteers through a program that includes first aid, and/or medical referral to Associates who become ill or injured at work. Provides case management and coordinates the hospital-wide immunization program to prevent spread of communicable diseases.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of two (2) years acute hospital nursing in an employee health/human resources or occupational health setting required.
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
- Certified Occupational Health Nursing
- Proficiency with mainframe and personal computers
- Current California RN License
