Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Blood Bank

PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley region. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Hospital - Whittier, PIH Health Hospital - Downey and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, 27 outpatient medical locations, a multi-specialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services, and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, women’s health, urgent care, and emergency services.

Responsible for organizing, directing the delivery of Clinical Laboratory Services in Blood Bank, and coordinating department based activities. Supervises and mentors staff and makes clinical and management decisions in the department.

Required Experience

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• Current American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) preferred
• LA City fire card within 6 months of employment
• Four years Supervisory Technologist experience with emphasis in Blood Bank.
