Responsible for performing safe and effective cardiac stress tests (i.e., treadmills, thallium treadmills, pharmacological stress tests, stress echocardiograms, pharmacologic stress echocardiograms); pacemaker checks; arrhythmia surveillance monitoring, prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic procedures, including Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, tilt-table tests, and blood pressure monitoring on a given group of patients. Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.

- Graduated from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
- BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Cardiovascular unit.
- Demonstrates teaching ability in a formal and/or informal setting.
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Two-year experience in the ICU.
