Performs high-level administrative and secretarial duties in an efficient and effective manner in support of Laboratory and Pathology Services leadership and departmental operations. Provides administrative coordination support including calendar management, meeting scheduling, preparation of reports, presentations, correspondence, meeting minutes, and follow-up documentation. Assists with tracking action items, departmental initiatives, inspections, onboarding activities, special projects, and operational and regulatory documentation across multiple laboratory locations and hospital campuses. Contributes to the smooth operation of the department through effective communication, organization, time management, professionalism, and collaboration while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive personnel, operational, and organizational information. Responsible for demonstrating strong follow-through, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a positive teamwork approach in support of departmental objectives and organizational standards.

Required Experience
Required:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Current California driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH Only)
- Minimum three (3) years progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience, including experience supporting departmental leadership or administrative operations
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
- Strong typing, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
- Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, laboratory, or pathology environment
- Experience supporting multiple leaders, departments, or locations in a fast-paced setting
