Echocardiography and Vascular Sonographer, Cardiology Downey - Per Diem Days

This position in accordance with the departmental standards of practice, assumes responsibility for all non-invasive diagnostic vascular sonography as ordered by the physicians to assure quality patient care and treatment. The Echocardiography and Vascular Sonographer performs ultrasound of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of and ability to learn and apply complex cardiac sonography principles, instrumentation and techniques. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Problem solving, time management, and organizational skills required
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills

Required Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Cardiac Sonographer Certification
• RDCS Certification
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Cardiac Sonography in the ambulatory care setting

Preferred:

• RVT Certified
