The Lead, Radiology-Mammography Audit Coordinator assumes responsibility for all aspects of the mammography report flow and audit process for ongoing quality assurance and adherence to all MQSA and CDPH requirements.Works closely with the mammography Lead Interpreting Physician and management for real time reporting of audit parameters as part of the ongoing quality improvement process. In addition, this position is responsible for accurately capturing accurate charges for all Interventional Radiology charges at both Whittier and Downey.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of all MQSA and CDPH guidelines and requirements for the mammography tracking and report flow process and audits.
- Knowledge of most recent CPT codes, HCCPS and interventional Radiology billing codes
- Ability to work independently and oversee all facets of the audit process.
- Excellent problem solving skills including a focus on increasing efficiencies.
- Skilled at Microsoft Word®, Excel®.
- Superior organization and analytical skills.
- Superior communication skills.
- Knowledge of Radiology Imaging procedures
- Understanding of basic CMS rules and regulations as they relate to billing practices
Required Experience
Required:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a mammography audit setting
- Prior experience troubleshooting mammography report system software to resolve technical issues.
- Minimum 3 years experience in working in a Radiology charges and/or billing environment
- Magview®, SRIS, MS4, eMD, PS360 Nuance, McKesson PACS, software experience.
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCSand ICD10 coding requirements
- Understanding of Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) in a Radiology setting
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Clinical Decision Support software (CDS)
