PIH Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital (PHGSH) in a part-time, regular position. As a Registered Nurse at PIH Health, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare delivery system by providing direct nursing care to patients. This position involves comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of care plans, patient education, and continuous evaluation of patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the flow of patient care while coordinating with other healthcare team members and disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, providing patient and family education, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient conditions, documenting patient information accurately, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensuring compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements. You will also be expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and healthcare trends.
The position requires working in a fast-paced environment where you will need to prioritize tasks effectively, make sound clinical judgments, and respond appropriately to emergency situations. As part of our NICU team, you will be working with newborns requiring intensive care, applying specialized knowledge and skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for our youngest patients. You will collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for infants with various medical conditions.

Required Experience
- Current California RN license
- Evidence of continuing education
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association
- Two years recent clinical experience in a community or regional NICU
- LA City fire card within 6 months of employment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- STABLE certification preferred or obtainable within 6 months of employment
- Experience with neonatal assessment and care
- Knowledge of neonatal medications and treatments
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilation and respiratory support
