Required Experience

Required:

• B.S.N. Degree
• Current California RN License
• Evidence of self-development
• Minimum three years clinical experience in acute care setting
• Minimum three years clinical experience in perinatal and maternal child care (for Perinatal Educator)
• Experience in labor and delivery, maternal child care, triaging, and care of high risk maternal patient (for Perinatal Educator)
• LA City Fire Card within six (6) months of employment

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire
• PALS certification from American Heart Association within 3 months of hire (for ER Educator)
• NRP certification (for Perinatal Educator)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and limited OB ultrasound within 6 months of hire (for Perinatal Educator)

Preferred:

• M.S.N. Degree
• Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development
• Specialty experience preferred (such as Critical Care)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS instructor
