The Imaging Consultant partners with healthcare organizations to assess, optimize, and transform radiology and imaging service operations. This role provides strategic, operational, and regulatory guidance to improve performance, patient experience, and financial outcomes across imaging departments.
Working closely with executive leadership and clinical stakeholders, the consultant evaluates current-state operations, identifies gaps, and implements high-impact solutions aligned with organizational goals. Engagements may include operational assessments, performance improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, and service line optimization.
Required Skills
·Radiology and imaging services operations (Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound)
·Regulatory standards (CMS, CIHQ, HIPAA, state licensing requirements)
·Performance improvement methodologies (PDCA, Lean principles)
·Healthcare financial and revenue cycle optimization
·Data analysis and performance metrics development
·Cross-functional team facilitation and stakeholder engagement
Required Experience
·CRT/ARRT certification and/or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Health Administration, or related field
·Minimum of five (5) years of experience in acute care settings
·Proven leadership experience in radiology/imaging services (3+ years preferred)
·Demonstrated success in operational improvement, program development, or consulting engagements
·Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
