Responsible for the oversight and day to day operations of all Nuclear Medicine services. The Supervisor, Nuclear Medicine shall ensure the continuous and effective operation of the area with a clear vision for the department working in concert with the strategic goals of the hospital, with an unwavering focus on the customer/patient, superior performance, and value added strategies. Nuclear Medicine services fall under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager. This is a supervisory position.
Required Skills
- Expert technical skills in nuclear medicine technology
- Advanced knowledge of all vasculature and organ systems
- Advanced knowledge of all radiopharmaceuticals
- Advanced knowledge of all nuclear regulatory requirements
- Basic patient care and assessment techniques
- Knowledgeable in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection and medical terminology.
- High degree of accuracy in positioning and radiation exposure techniques
- Leadership skills required
Required Experience
Required:
- State of California CRT
- ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or NMTCV certification
- Venipuncture certification
- CPR/BLS
- Clinical training – Five (5) years’ clinical experience in nuclear medicine technology
