Workplace Violence Prevention Specialist, Full Time, Days

The Workplace Violence Prevention Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs and strategies to prevent, assess, and respond to workplace violence. This position ensures a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, and stakeholders by promoting awareness, training, and risk mitigation practices in alignment with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

• Strong understanding of violence prevention principles, behavioral indicators, and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with workplace violence prevention in healthcare, education, or government settings.
• Familiarity with OSHA workplace violence standards and trauma-informed practices.
• Specialized training in conflict resolution, safety management, or emergency response

Required Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Resources, Public Safety, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in workplace safety, security, threat assessment, HR, or a related field.
• Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment

Preferred:

• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Threat Manager - CTM, SHRM-CP/SCP, Certified Protection Professional - CPP).
