Required Skills
Develop end-to-end ETL solutions.
Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions.
Create applications for processing financial and other transactions using ETL, SQL, and Web Services.
Design self-cleanup ETL processes and enhance existing ETL processes for better performance.
Develop reusable transformations, SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts.
Implement data validation, data management, and file management processes using various scripting languages.
Design, develop, validate, and test reports, dashboards, and data extracts using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, and other BI platforms
Translate complex technical concepts and analytical findings for both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting collaboration and decision-making
Monitor BI outputs, identify performance issues, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and accuracy
Analyze large sets of healthcare data, including EHRs, clinical, and financial data, to generate insights and recommendations
Improve documentation, scheduling, and administrative workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors
Participate in data validation, QA efforts, and analytics development to ensure accurate and reliable reporting solutions
Manage the BI object inventory, ensuring metadata is meaningful, standardized, accurate, and consistently updated
Required Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
Strong SQL skills – ability to write and optimize queries to extract and manipulate data.
Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development.
Preferred:
Master's degree in healthcare, Analytics, Data Science or related field.
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR’s) preferably PIH Health EHRs
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS) and big data technologies
Experience with Python, R, or SAS for data analysis and predictive modeling is a plus.
Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehouses, and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, etc.) is preferred.
