The Cardio Pulmonary Services Director is Responsible for directing and coordinating the respiratory and cardiology departments including Respiratory, Non Invasive Cardiology, Neurology, Cardiac Rehab, and related specialized services. This role develops objectives and policies for these areas and organizes, coordinates and monitors activities. Interprets objectives, policies, and procedures. Coordinates the activities of the assigned departments with other departments both within and outside the organization. Resolves problems with department heads concerning utilization of facilities and equipment. Assists in establishing budgets for departments, monitors expenditures against budgets. Evaluates performance of departments and key management personnel under his/her direction. Responsible for continuous compliance with all regulatory standards including Title XXII, CIHQ, CMS, Medicare Conditions of Participation, College of American Pathologist (CAP), and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

This is a management position.

  • Competent to assess the appropriate care given to neonate, pediatric, adolescent or geriatric patients

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • Graduate of an approved AMA Accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Licensed RCP by State of California
  • Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy as an RRT
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required by the American Heart Association
  • Experience and meets requirements for CLIA blood gas laboratory
  • Five years in respiratory therapy, to include emergency, critical and neonatal care
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience
