The Manager, Applications serves on the IT management team, responsible for software application operations and strategy. This position identifies specific applications required to enhance business operations. Supervises the installation, upgrades, and daily maintenance of software applications used within the organization. Performs project management activities including planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining business applications. Determines business requirements, conducts process analysis and prioritization. Manages and leads a dedicated team of IT professionals.

Required Skills

  • Expert knowledge of specifying user requirements.

  • Advanced knowledge of industry standards to better support business requirements.

  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare operations and structure.

  • Advanced knowledge of the lifecycle of application environments.

  • In-depth understanding of hospital inpatient and clinic outpatient operations.

  • Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

  • Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order toidentify patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective conclusions

  • Knowledge of the latest software developments and its relation to business operations.

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


Required Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

  • Experience in a systems administration role with at least two years in a lead/supervisory capacity.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience managing applications in a healthcare setting
