The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is primarily an administrative position, but may require occasional clinical care. The Supervisor serves as back-up to the Rehabilitation Leadership Team including, but not limited to time keeping, resource allocation, HR compliance, budget compliance for charge capture, staff on-boarding, and other department development activities. This position assists the rehab leadership team in daily oversight and ongoing departmental operations. May coordinate the following: educational activities of the department, assessment of staff, daily resource allocation of staff, department program development and performance improvement activities.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform patient care utilizing correct body mechanics.
- With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational, and environmental needs of patient/significant others when administering care.
- Competent to evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses for patients who may be infants, children, adults or older adults.
- Experience with a wide variety of patient diagnoses is preferred.Professional experience includes advanced clinical and professional skills, ongoing clinical and professional growth and active participation in program development and student programs.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Leadership Skills.
Required Experience
Required:
- Licensed as an occupational therapist, physical therapist or speech and language pathologist in California, or eligible to take the examination for licensure in the State of California if coming from out of state.
- Must maintain current CA licensure
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Five years of experience
- Active membership in professional organizations
- Administrative experience
- Advanced Windows and Microsoft Office applications skills
